Bird hospital

I found this baby goldfinch on the ground after hearing a bump on the window so I put him in our "bird hospital" box.  He looked pretty pathetic at first and I wasn't sure he'd make it but am pleased to say that after about an hour he'd recovered enough to sit up and pose for me!  You can see where his lovely red cap is just starting to come through. 

I'm very pleased to say that I've just been out to check on him and the box is empty.  Hooray!
