Long Awaited
In the excitement and enjoyment of having Anais with us I overlooked a momentous moment;
Saturday, 1100, the postman delivers an A4 envelope for Joshua.
1300 Joshua arrives home from work and in the rush to get out and to the beach we forget to give it to him.
On arriving back home we give him his letter and it his letter from the Army confirming his date and time of arrival at AFC Harrogate as September 24.
So there we have it, a soldier for a son, two very proud parents and a proud sister.
A the back of my mind I wonder what my Dad would have thought, Joshua is the sixth consecutive generation of Stevens to serve in the British Military.
