Toadstool

After a day and a half of heavy rain and strong winds, we now have some sunshine but it is still very windy.

This afternoon my grandchildren have a half-day off school, I am not sure why. Tomorrow they have an inset day, so I shall be doing my grandma duties although I do have to work as well as I have some student tutorials booked.

I have been looking for toadstools every day and not found any. Today I found four and they were all about ten centimetres across. They do not look edible to me and I never eat any fungi I find; they are a sure sign of autumn though.
