Butterfly Conservation

I am working with Cheshire Wildlife Trust and Butterfly Conservation to record and monitor butterflies in Hatch Mere. We met this morning to design my transect, which I will walk weekly between April and September each year recording butterfly sightings. The data I collect will help CWT manage the Hatch Mere woodland area and hopefully improve the habitat for butterflies.  I am really looking forward to it .....I can't think of many things better than spotting and photographing butterflies whilst on a walk through Delamere Forest and the surrounding heathland.
