Newman's Wall

The rain had stopped and the sun came out this afternoon for the first time in weeks. So I grab my back pack and headed straight to Ansty Hill, which is about 5 minutes up the road. I parked the car at gate 28 (top northern end of the reserve) as soon as I got out of the car the sun disappeared and the dark clouds began to gather....

The afternoon got darker, and darker. At least the rain held off until I got back to the car about 5 hours later. Despite the lack of light and gloomy conditions I did get through a roll of Across 100 on my beloved Minolta 101 plus about 60 shots with the digital thing.
It was good to be able to get out for a decent hike instead of a short stroll around the block between downpours. From gate 28 it is a steep decent into Newman's Nursery ruins. Which means it is a steep climb coming back. Saw three people only and no wild life. Not surprising given the dark, freezing conditions.

I have 5 rolls of film now to develop, which I am hopeful of getting stuck into tomorrow. Depends on how my day works out.
