Philodendron Selloum - the end and beginning ..
This plant. in it's splendor, has been blipped, before, and before. It seems to have a very interesting life cycle, which makes for long, arduous, yet very informative reading.
It seems to be - yes, you've guessed it, something to do with a symbiotic sexual relationship.
My, that seems like a lot of hard work!
I have noticed that the flower stays open for a very short period, and then closes up - and it seems that this is when the fun starts!
I wasn't aware what exactly was going on inside, until Wikipedia's long explanation brought a little bit of light.
However, when all seems to have been said and done, this is what remains of a once beautiful flower ...... almost like an explosion? or is it!
