Partial solar eclipse
Headed down to Sandy Beach for the partial solar eclipse. The clouds obscured the rise (as it usually does), but it was fantastic to see nonetheless. Wearing my special glasses, the image I saw was the sun and its light path across the water. That was spectacular. All the rest is just darkness. This main shot was at 6:06 AM, our sunrise was 6:15 AM. The coverage was like a bite out of the left side of the sun. Not everyone was protecting their eyes. Saw lots of cellphones lifted.
Left before it was over, suppose to be about 7:45 AM.
Extras:
1. Salute the sun ! 6:37 AM
2. First sign of brilliance. 6:14 AM
3. Layered clouds look like the sun, reflected glory. 6:15 AM
4. Higher sky, bird. 6:08 AM
