This year's "Pot Plant".

Every few years one of these springs up in the garden. 
Last time, in 2009, it was between Brussels' Sprout and Curly Kale.  This year it was just below the shed door; where one of the birds' seeds must have been dropped. Pity I don't know which of the  seeds it is, I might run the Greenhouse at a profit.

OK, I know it's chronic anthropomorphism, but you almost have to admire its grim determination 
for trying, even after being almost slain by the elements. 
Looks almost as bad as being trampled by the elephants.
Time the Spill Chucker read a few more dictionaries and learnt that anthropomorphism actually IS an English word.
