Leading Lines
Whilst blip has undoubtedly made me a better photographist these are more my kind of leading lines.
A plan to celebrate FWG's recent assessment successes, a chance to simply enjoy the mountains and not be out looking for obtuse navigational features or practising skills - the observant amongst you could probably hazard a guess where I'd head, especially with a very mixed forecast.
I've said before and often that Pinnacle Ridge is very close to the perfect mountaineering day out in the Lake District. Fun, safe (with the right skills) & challenging enough to help you focus - having Helvellyn for a back drop just tops it off.
From the moment you leave the path it is a good step up from mountain walking, Pinnacle Ridge is a proper mountaineering route, a proper adventure. It has and offers consequence and reward in equal measure. Today it also generated a lot of laughter and concentrating.
