National Symbols

The Hibiscus is the national flower (Bunga Raya) of Malaysia. I therefore found that this lamp post with the Hibiscus decoration and the flag as background would make for a good picture. The Hibiscus, also dubbed Queen of Tropical Flowers, was crowned Malaysia’s national flower in 1960 after a selection process in which 6 different flowers was proposed. The flower is regularly used as inspiration for logos of national events. At night these lamp posts with the lighted flower makes a striking picture that will be worth the effort of trying to snap.
