The Log House

Cynthia's cousin W and husband B joined us for a visit to another cemetery this morning, where we located the last ancestors on C's list.

We had lunch at The Log House Restaurant in Wytheville -- built in 1776. The beer selection was limited, but I gave them a gold star for having bottles of Bass Pale Ale. Bass is a very old English brewery. When I was a mechanical engineering student at Birmingham University, we had a field trip to the brewery. After we'd completed our study of the brewing equipment, we conducted a rigorous evaluation of the beer, while enjoying a hearty (free) meal. Fond memories!
