Derelict Sunday
We've had a lovely day here in Suffolk. Starting in Southwold for the morning with lunch on the Pier. For the afternoon we went to Aldburgh and sent time on the beach and photographing The Scallop sculpture created by Suffolk based artist Maggi Hambling. On the way back to Beccles we happened upon Leiston Abbey. These remains are mainly 14th century and were the home of Premonstratensian canons and are now cared for by English Heritage. My blip for derelict Sunday is from the Abbey and is of the top of the stone alter and cross looking to where the east window would have been.
