A long lie, a first attempt at tofu scramble (which was tasty and I'll definitely make again), and then off to work for the rest of the day.

Plans for brambling were replaced by the boys watching football and me reading.

Once they headed to bed, I settled down to an evening of Alan Bennett on BBC 2.

Eventually got home around midnight.
