The Day After

Happy the bride the sun shines on,
but that was yesterday.
Today it's rained continually,
for hours and hours and hours.

Who can say what tomorrow will bring?
But the couple have wed and fled.
Still, round the door, come rain or shine,
hang hopeful wedding flowers.

Don't know whose wedding it was, but clearly there was a wedding in the village church yesterday. The flowers brighten what's been a very miserable, wet day. On the other hand, the dahlias that I planted the day before yesterday will be nicely watered in. (See Extra - taken before I planted them out.)
