Where is my carrot?

We have been on Exmoor for a couple of days with our friends the W's which has been very nice. Today we were invited the open day of the Dartnell brothers who train racehorses in this neck of the woods. After a parade of the horses in training we then enjoyed a very pleasant glass of wine or two and lunch.

This is the W's lovely racehorse known as Chaz who was desperate for his carrot! He is all too knowing when it comes to carrots! After a good munch on a very large specimen he seemed satisfied! He is such a lovely horse and very well tempered for a horse in training too. The stable girl who looks after him and rides him out loves him as he is so easy to do. Some are not so well tempered!

The weather has been pretty miserable again . We did manage the parade in the dry and after that it has been constant rain and really quite cold too. An evening for the fire and a comfy chair I think!
