Birthday Present

25 days after her actual birthday, Martha had her birthday party today - a roller-skating thing at Ocean Terminal. 12 or 13 nine-year-old girls at varying stages of roller-skating fluency all doing circuits before moving to another room for a load of sandwiches, crisps and cake. Then we went home to open 12 or 13 presents. This was the hat.
