Birthday celebrations start early...

My mum turns 70 on Tuesday, so my brother and his family came over today as they are heading off to Disneyland Paris for  a couple of days tomorrow - my niece is dancing there with her dance group! - so we got to celebrate early with this cake that my sister in law and niece created! And yes it did taste as good as it looked and might take us a while to finish off as it's huge!

Had a lovely meal too in one of our favourite restaurants in Southend and the sunshine had brought out lots of day trippers today all enjoying the seafront!
