sugar cane drinks

..we're being made in the Indian bazaar today. At first glance I thought this was bamboo. The canes were being chopped into shorter lengths and put through some sort of crushing machine. There must have been about 30 different flavours to add. The queue was long all afternoon.

Lots of other really interesting stalls - quite a few jewellery ones, another selling delightfully pretty beaded handbags, Indian chocolates, spices, many mosaic elephants of all sizes, threaded bells, maxi dresses in lovely soft cotton fabric for £5, and many food stalls selling both hot and cold food freshly made whilst you waited.

A really lovely and interesting afternoon out.
