If you cycle up hills, you get to eat cake. Well, that's my rule anyway.

I had a rather gruelling 90km around the Wolds yesterday. It seemed like it was head wind all of the way, and 850m of climbing into that was hard. The last proper climb up Oak Cliff from Kirkham Priory truly was mind over matter, yet I still managed to knock 12 seconds off my previous best effort. Chuffed about that.

The lovely apricot tart was had at the Dutch House between Crayke and Brandsby. It fortified me nicely for the chug up through Brandsby.
