Saturday: Highway 1

It has to be said - I'm not going out with Andrew anymore.  To say that I wake up refreshed and vibrant after an evening with him would be a blatant lie.

On a more positive note, we have had an excellent day.  We have driven to Kamloops, about 4 hours from Vancouver in the interior, for an event I'm attending tomorrow.  Having driven the Coquihalla Hughway the last time we came this route, we opted for the Transcanada Highway 1 route today, through the Fraser Canyon.  Absolutely stunning and definitely one of the most beautiful roads we have ever driven.

As for Kamloops, it's definitely quaint.

While we were out this evening we got chatting to a local guy, Bill.  He insisted on showing us where the local eateries were - but then he insisted on coming in, sitting at the table, and ordering - all unbidden!  He was nice enough but it wasn't the way we had envisaged our evening.  At least he paid for his own dinner......
