Girlfriends

Fab fab Day out today - our 11th wedding. Anniversary, T was heading back from Yorkshire though so dinner to celebrate was in the evening!

Headed up to Banbury to a NT property where I met my friend who I went to uni with, over 20 years ago (no idea how it can be that long!). Hannah lives in Cannock so it was pretty much halfway.

We had a great day, despite the frequent downpours of rain, we also had some bright intense sunshine and a good laugh.

We managed to explore the house - something I don't always attempt with my two. C loved playing with William and Martha too. R just wanted to run around and be one of the big ones.

After tea/ice creams in the tearoom we found a huge lawn and sports gear so that was a hit.

It's amazing how I can go without seeing Hannah for ages, and it really is like we saw each other last week. I think the friendships we strike up when we're very young - 18 in this case hopefully are for life. There is a shared memory, understanding and history of growing into ourselves that I love. Xx
