Cathedral concert

After yesterday's excitement about Facebook Likes, we had a slightly more relaxed morning. Came in for breakfast to find G had finished the ironing!

We decided to have a ride out in the gorgeous sunshine to check out if Guildford Cathedral still had its scaffolding up. Couldn't believe it as we walked in and there was all this rigging and setting up for a concert (Carmina Burana of all things!) and the musicians and singers were just getting ready for a rehearsal! The concert is at 7:30 tonight.

We sat and listened for about fifteen minutes, and then had a little walk around to see what's been done in the renovation. You could definitely smell a fresh coat of paint. It's lost its golden hue but still very light and airy.

Came home via Shere in more glorious sunshine. Just a stop in the Co-op there. They had some extra dry Prosecco on offer and I want to try it out! :)
