Treasurer's House, York.

The very grand Treasurer's House is well worth a visit. It was the home of a multi-millionaire, Frank Green, who by the sound of it was an exacting employer. He had studs put in the floor to mark the position of each piece of furniture, and  woe betide the staff if, after cleaning, everything was not put back in its place.

It also has had a ghost sighting in the cellar.  Not just one ghost but a Roman army!

The extra is of a friend in front of a gin shop in York. All these bottles are gin. I had no idea there were so many varieties.
