Boys' Day Out

Today, I had an "Away Day" trip to Nailsworth in Gloucestershire and The New Lawn, home of newly - promoted Forest Green Rovers, with fellow Yeovil fans Howard & Steve. My son, Chris couldn't make it as he had a friend's wedding to go to.

We got to the ground just as the team coach arrived and the players stopped to sign autographs.

As last week, we played really well for 45 minutes and were 3-1 up going in to injury time in the first half until Forest Green scored a second from a harshly awarded free kick..

Also as last week, we then played poorly in the second half and gifted them two goals to lose 4-3. There have now been 22 goals in our 3 league games so far so we're certainly getting plenty of entertainment. I wouldn't bank on us for a goalless draw if you're doing the pools though: we don't seem to have mastered the art of defending!

Forest Green is famously owned by Dale Vince, owner of the green Ecotricity company and only serve vegan food at the ground. I can report that the veggie burgers are very tasty.
