After the storm

Our timing was amazing this morning as we arrived in Saltburn just as someone was ready to leave their parking space on the cliff top and also just as the storm was coming to an end.  We needed to shop and as Saltburn has a Sainsbury's we nearly always head there.  We also like walking on the beach, which we did first.  The headwind was strong as we walked towards Marske so we turned round well before we got there.  The tide was also on its way in so walking back on soft sand wouldn't have been much fun.  
The people of Saltburn have been knitting again so I took a few photos of my favourites as we walked out along the pier (see extra).
What else?  Well we discovered and patronised a book shop which had been open a little while but has recently moved onto the main tourist street and we drove up to Danby Beacon to take photos of clouds and heather.  All together a successful day.
