Drumming on a float at Kirkcudbright Summer Festivities today, in the Grand parade. The best bit, I think (apart from the actual drumming!) is the hour before the parade starts. A quiet residential street at the back of Kirkcudbright suddenly fills with decorated trucks and people in fancy dress, and there's a great excitement, especially amongst the children. These cheerleaders weren't at all shy!
