just another miserable (the weather!) Monday.....

dark dark morning, and it's still raining - it's been like that since 3pm yesterday! Grrrreat for a Monday! porridge, shower and then a 50 minute car journey into town (8 miles!).

the morning passed by quicker than i thought it would, pity that the rain didn't....it lingered on, becoming heavier, stopping me venturing out at lunchtime. this was going to be one of those days when you hardly get any fresh air!

Had an email at lunch from the beagle breeder to say that the pups had been born on Friday. i've confirmed my order with them, and am v pleased to say that i'll soon be the proud owner of Walter (or Wally!)....so exciting, can't wait!

after went much quicker but the rain didn't stop. it became darker too!

home, and a lovely dinner.

tonight it's rads on, curtains shut, and Nigella back on our screens!.....winters here!

my picture is of an old Christmas pudding recipe from my nana. we found it last year in a recipe book from 1936 (which is as good as new!). i soak all the fruit for about a week, and then follow her recipe. when i made it last year, it was one of the best puddings we'd ever tasted! i've got the recipe out tonight to write my shopping list, so i can start my pud on Saturday!
