Blazing Fiddles- -Findhorn
Well , some friends invited us to their eco house in Findhorn , the international eco village and alternative living community for the weekend in the north east of Scotland.
Here they are about to go into the Universal Hall in the Findhorn community.
""We've got tickets to a fiddle concert" they said.
Now I have never been to a fiddle concert and I half expected to go to some pub where we would sit around a table listening to music.
Instead it turned out to be more like a rock concert with over 300 people doing a lot of audience participation. We were among the small minority of people not on our feet dancing and clapping.
It was an extraordinary experience.
Was this another side of the Scottish psyche that I had never seen in 40 years living here?
Not so. The most exuberant dancers were Spanish and Australian.
The fact is that the Findhorn Community is international.
