A Grand Performance

Into Edinburgh for a fringe performance - Arthur Smith Singing Leonard Cohen.  It was most enjoyable.

The subject matter was around despair, desolation , depression, death, ..... Just the the thing for a Friday afternoon.  But there was comedy, Leonard had wit and Arthur can be funny.  Leonard was serious and so is Arthur.  A delightful combination.  It was a little under-rehearsed but that didn't spoil the place that Cohen's songs had been given in the big events of Smith's life.  And the Smithereens were wonderful.

The blip is of the queue waiting to get in.  Hundreds of folk started to enter ten minutes before the performance started and we were all ready.  It's an Edinburgh fringe thing.
