Was at the funeral of an old walking friend today.  John was a founder member of our walking club and was 89 years of age.   He had been in ill health for some time, and eventually was in a care home for the last months of his life.  

His funeral service was a very simple Presbyterian church service, led by his old friend and retired minister, and he spoke very sincerely of John's life and his friendship.   John had been an elder in the Old Parish Church for over 40 years.  We all felt that John would have approved.
