Roman history

A grey image for a grey day.

Here, as with most places today I suspect, it has rained hard all day. This is a photo is of what was, hundreds of years ago, a roman canal, now it is a narrow, shallow dyke, however with heavy rain it can very quickly fill to within a few feet of the top and be very fast flowing.

I understand tomorrow we will loose the rain but get very high winds instead!
