Infamy!
It was a wild wet and windy day; thankfully I was working at home, just occasionally seeing the news about flash floods and travel disruptions around the country. Apart from making up another question or two, I spent most of the time student number-wrangling and replying to numerous messages from students wanting to know why they haven't had details of their tutor yet.
Whenever I was waiting for something to upload, download, copy or compile, I did a spot of Latin revision. Dear me, I have forgotten a lot. I had to go all the way back to Plautus who helpfully writes in the present tense. This was the most exciting thing that I did today.
Staphyla: quid est, mi domine? quid facis? quare me ex aedibus expellis? serua tua sum. quare me uerberas, domine?
Euclio: tace! te uerbero quod mala es, Staphyla.
Staphyla What is it, my master? What are you doing? Why are you driving me from the house? I am your
slavewoman. Why are you beating me, master?
Euclio: Be quiet! I'm beating you because you are bad, Staphyla.
