After the downpour ...

As Blipfoto doesn't encourage the posting of videos, I can't show here the torrential rain that had kept me lurking under shelter at the far end of Benmore Gardens from the entrance, and my car - it's on Instagram, in slo-mo, because I had time to fill and a sheltered space to protect my phone. Eventually the rain subsided to bearable quantities and I escaped, finding myself wondering at the freshness of the smells and the colours after all that grey.

This lovely confusion of pinks, greens and yellows struck me as unbelievably lush; it's in a very damp area round a small burn that runs into the ornamental pond and right now it seems to be at its very best.
