Sunflower

What is summer without sunflowers? But this variety you might know as black eyed Susan.

       I more often than not choose to walk Kiki at Wenima wildlife refuge. I have the choice of a shorter walk upstream along the Little Colorado to the old generator house or the longer walk downstream to the end of Arizona Game & Fish property with a view across grassland to Scraper.  We have a little respite from monsoon rains; the sky was mostly clear but clouds are building again.
