Kings Cross

Arriving at Kings Cross station in London today I happened to notice this painted building. I think the photograph rather flatters it compared to how it  looks in reality.

A fire vehicle on the other side of the road. It was approaching with its siren on, and another arriving immediately behind it. I was mildly alarmed when they did a u-turn and stopped right next to where I was standing. I am about to descend into the metro, hopefully everything is fine down there.

There was no sign of anything untoward, no signs of panic or sound of alarms so I proceeded downwards. Everything was normal, and I got to Paddington in time for my train to Twyford.
