Best friends

Well I got the job! The interview went really well, the first I have done for at least 10 years! I was pretty nervous this morning when I woke up but I did it and they called me this afternoon to offer me the position! There is a bit of paper work to do and I will start the week the children go back to school!!

I am sure this was meant to be and hope that it is as fulfilling as I hope!

The remainder of the day was spent at an indoor play area -not really what I like to do too much but the children were keen as their cousin was going so we went. We did manage to get for a walk when we got home however. My neighbour has the most adorable brown Labrador that we have known since he was a puppy and I often walk him if my neighbour has to be out all day. The children love him, even though he is almost as big as them!

I took a photo of my son sat with the dog, Rolo, as they look like best friends here! I can understand how having a dog would be so rewarding! I know my son would love one but for now at least we have Rolo as a surrogate!!

So, today marks a change for me and for my family. The job I have accepted will be very flexible timings and I hope therefore that it won't impact on the children in a negative way. My daughter did say she didn't want me to get a job but I explained it will be when they are at school and in a few years time they will be older and getting more independent and I will need something for me to do to and she seemed to understand that.
