Scraping Out a Living
Today T and I drove the nearly 600 miles back from our former home in Bozeman, Montana to our current home in College Place, Washington. The journey took just over 9 hours. Instead of following the Interstate for the last 100 miles or so I decided to take a rural highway home. This cuts off a bit of the journey and for most if it one can go quite a bit higher than the posted speed, meaning the journey is overall shorter. As we neared Palouse Falls State Park I spotted this little farm and stopped to take a shot before speeding off. It was hot and dry out there and I have no idea how these folks support themselves (ranching, maybe?). The text on the barn reads "H U Ranch."
