Another day another nature preserve

This one also in Indiana near the Dunes National Lakeshore. We tried to take one of the Dunes trails , through dune , oak savannah and eventually marsh but didn't get far , it was simply too hot and I was melting. So we tried a different area along a creek which has been altered to provide pools and marshy areas, planted with  some native grasses and flowers and has a 5K walk/run route around the edge. Basically an easy trail, though too hot to go far on that also. The little pond we started near had several turtles hanging out under the duckweed and algae.It also had some green dragonflies flitting about after prey . 
The extras are a viceroy at the Tollestone dunes trail and a skipper at the creek preserve ( which is almost surrounded by housing developments btw)
