I booked this break very soon after getting my car. It seemed a great way to celebrate! Beautiful scenery and an area not visited for some years. Our journey here proved that to be true! Wonderful views and vast open spaces...

The drive here was good. We had the usual hold-up at Salisbury as we passed Stone Henge but it has been far worse.

We've pootled the grounds, and had dinner in the hotel. Tomorrow will be a day of exploring and walking. I've eaten far too much in the last weeks of non-stop holidays! Soon things will quieten down again....
