Bannockburn Memorial

While heading into Stirling this morning, we stopped in at the Bannockburn Memorial to give James a good run. Plenty of room to let toddlers work off some surplus energy.
Just a thought, the memorial is named "Battle of Bannockburn". As the actual battle was done and dusted some seven hundred years ago, this seems to me to be maintaining the "them and us" ethos which we really do not need any more.
So, home for lunch and the rains came. Wet enough to prevent any outside play but there were cars and lorries, trains and tracks, all sorts all over the floor. And the I-pad provided a little extra entertainment too.
This evening and MaggieD and I ventured forth in the rain to pick up an order from the supermarket. We are doing a little project in the garden and need several planters to kick things off. Watch this space!
