When is a Tavern not a Tavern

I pass this way quite often and can't recall a time when this Tavern was open.

I'm rather hoping that someone (MidgeholeDave perhaps?) might enlighten me.

An extra of the sight of multi tiered housing that greets me as I descend the hill into Hebden Bridge.
