Glen cinema disaster

always find myself giving a sad glance at this plaque on the sidewall of the old cinema in Paisley town centre the site of the town's most shocking disaster in 1929 when over 70 children died by crushing. Smoke from an overheating projector caused a panic and the children thinking it was a fire rushed to the exit which was locked by a padlock on the outside
