Dunnock

This is one of the many Dunnocks that live in the hedge at the back of the house;  it's this side of the house which faces onto the avenue, and our main garden is at the front on the other side which is where the feeders are. Generally speaking the Dunnocks aren't seen here, as they seem to spend their time just popping in and out of the hedge onto the back lawn. It's only via the lens that it's possible to see their attractive plumage, otherwise they just look like a LBJ. :-))
