Remember my blip of the Janie Seddon of two days ago?
She sits on the other side of the construction jutting out into the sea on the right side of this photo. 

This is the remains of Motueka’s old wharf which was completed in 1887 and in constant use until the new wharf was opened in 1916.

I have included a closer view of these stone blocks as an extra. Sadly, time and tides are eroding and undermining the end and for safety the orange net has been used to keep people out. The  wharf’s wooden extension disappeared long ago.
