Tiny Tuesday - Race to the top!

Slipped down to The Courts Garden and Charfield Manor today, both national trust properties, with Janet and our friend Sheila. Lovely sunny day, and the gardens were looking fantastic.

I was chasing giant dragonflies all over the ponds, mostly to no avail, but I couldn't help but love these two, clambering over the same flowerhead. The hoverfly, if such it be, was much larger than normal and a lovely coffee and honey colour - fat and full of summer nectar. The bee one of hundreds harvesting the flowerbeds.

Still beautifully sunny now, and our own garden calls using a glass of beer as its trumpet... but I have to prepare for tonight's Neighbourhood Plan meeting. I'm sure if I think hard there ought to be a way to work in the garden...? :-)
