Folly ...

... or maybe I should call it The Belvedere. It's on the estate of Powderham Castle but it's accessible by footpath from outside the grounds. It has a very similar design to the Haldon Belvedere although I believe this was built earlier. It suffered a fire at some time in the last century (and plenty of neglect) but there are plans to replace the roof and restabilise so I thought it would be a good plan to get some photos before the scaffolding goes up.

I quite like this almost overhead shot but I've put another in as an extra from a lower angle and there are also a few more here if you'd like to have a look.
