kids, moods , garden and head

well what can I say..AAAAAAAAGH.... I love my kids dearly but some times they just hit the self destruct button .... we as a family are by no means the neatest..I prefer the lived in look to that of a show house ...but i have a few things that really annoy me ( ok so maybe more than a few !!) and from time to time I need to reassert my position on these
I detest DVD/CD's being left out of their covers ... so imagine my state of mind when entering my daughters room/ midden I found approx 8 dvds out ther case ..then ensued a quiet ( which is very unusual) discussion , followed by the tearful moaning of Fiona as she collected all her DVDs an placed them in a pile on her bedroom floor ..and subsequent putting them all away again...along with everything else in the room...we can now see the carpet !!!!..lol
next was when I asked Ewan to give me a hand in the garden (which I dont do very often as I can remember my childhood weekends in the garden.#smiles inwardly at the memories#)..he pulled a stroppy teenage huff....another quiet discussion followed !!!
now slightly miffed decided to go out and clear some bits of the garden..did not manage much as a migrane started( i wonder why !!!) and so decided to lie down for an hour ..did the trick but daylight was fading so called it a day...ah the joys of parenting combined with middle age ..LOL
