Broch

This is the Dun (or broch) in our village. As you can see it is rather a ruin (in fact it looks better from far away than when you stand inside it!) It is built on the high ground of some Common Grazing, overlooking the sea, and like all other brochs we don't know exactly who built them or what they were used for. I find that a salutary lesson about the limits of human knowledge!
