Thistle

I took a walk in to Bingley this afternoon to pick up some milk and spotted these rather grand thistles in the allotments close to the river.

I caught the bus home and the traffic was held up a while whilst a truck carrying a ferris wheel tried to negotiate a narrow gateway in to the old Grange.  There were several marquees in one of their fields so I'm guessing a very expensive wedding??

Breaking News:  Apparently these are not thistles but artichokes - derrr!
