Match report

My first ice hockey game of the season yesterday afternoon. Ingolstadt v Berlin.

Berlin's first visit since winning the league and the play-offs last season. The small city, small budget team against the team from the capital with attendances averaging about 13,000.

What a cracker! Ingolstadt won 5-4, but it was a real nail-biter. The home team was always ahead, but Berlin kept clawing back.

ERCI's new faces Boucher & Laliberte caught the eye. Some of the stalwarts did too - Greilinger, Bouck, Ross...

Well worth the ?38 for seats on the red line. Great entertainment.

I was driving, so no beers during the game. Ah well, you can't have everything.
